thats a real shame. it was a good effort, and probably a match he should have won. but hopefully he can learn from that and get some good results in the dubs and then some more in singles once wimby is over.

Good wins from our lads! Very impressed, particularly with Wardy's scoreline. Hopefully it continues this week. Wardy could have a tough one if he gets Andreev though (although Andreev's form is typically wayward)
As for Andy, I can't see many players wanting to play both tournaments. I remember Tim lost early at Queens and played Nottingham (where he also lost early if I remember rightly!!!) as did Andy Roddick one year. If he needed more practice, he coulda had it but since he had a great run at Queens, why would he? :P I grant you it's closer to London than Nottingham was but... er... lost my train of thought *runs away*
20 years from now, I hope Boggo and the LTA will realise that it could have been a different story had he tried qualifying everytime he got a wild card.
Just a quick post about the Brits today - I'll try and get a longer write-up down when I have some more time.
Boggo was excellent today. Other than the game when serving for the match where he started badly and Minar upped his level, he played a pretty much perfect match. Had a period where every return was within a foot of the line and it helped him get the break, but his returns let him down when looking to get the second break. Great tiebreak from him as well. He has a chance against Tursunov who was really poor again today after a poor effort in the doubles from him on Sunday. If the wind gets up like it did today, then Boggo has a really good chance against him.
Crivoi is just dreadful on a grass court. Ward played a good first set against him and hit some great shots, but Crivoi just wasn't interested. Bad second set from both players who made far too many easy errors, but Ward got through in the end. It meant a lot to him afterwards but he'll have to play an awful lot better if he is to get close in the next round.
Goodall's win was never in doubt really as Ito isn't up to much. He made too many errors, was getting frustrated with line calls, but just doesn't hit the ball well enough to be a threat. Josh just had to be solid to get the win although he did hit some big shots at times. It was a match he had to win really, as if he'd lost, then he'd never win an ATP match.
Fleming pushed Lu well but perhaps should have won the match. He got tight in the first set and missed a couple of easy volleys when serving for it, although the passing shot to get the break from Lu was out. Second set was a lot better from Fleming and a lot worse from Lu. Fleming should have really broken at the start of the third and then played a bad game from 40-0 up to get broken. Lu though played well when facing break points and didn't give him a chance to get the break back.
Great wins by the way for all the brits. Starting on Wednesday Eurosport is covering this events Center court so hoping to see the lads still at it then :D.
