Lol. Definetly, what a chance to get a first tour win just before a big wimbledon for him. He has got to win, as this would will really knock his confidence losing to such a low player who lost to Boggo at Notts 6 and 2 at a big home event. He could really push on if he were to win with a second round encounter with an out of form Ljubicic whos speed is awful on a grass court. Come on Josh, straight sets, next round please. Good luck to the others, also great chances of 2nd rounds. I have a feeling of a good day tommorow members of the board.  wink.gif

Ljubicic wasn't at his best today but did enough to get the win in the end. His serve wasn't as good as it has been in the past and his movement could do with a bit of work, but his backhand was working well. Good to see someone try and serve/volley a bit on the grass as well, although it does help if you actually can get the volley over the net.

I'd be surprised if Josh could beat Ljubicic (and certainly wouldn't expect him to get near a set of him) though.

i doubt the boys will be chuffed with the points and prize money on offer.

Yeah not great that is it. I was curious how many points Boggo would get for qualifying. Bit disappointed to see he got no points and no money!!

^^^

Actually, the link on the LTA website is correct and gives the points and prize money but the one on the ATP site doesn't.

It's good to see that the LTA are offering points and prize money to the players when the ATP have decided not to do so!

Thats not a bad draw for Boggo, Minar's not that comfortable on the grass. If he serves like he did today, Boggo has a good chance.

Boggo is slight favourite with the bookies to win his match, as are Ward and Goodall - the Phlegm is a slight outsider.

I'd hope to get 2 through to the second round.

If anything, a better win for James, by 1 & 3, than for Boggo, but well done to both for reaching the second round. smile  thumbsup.gif

You've got your wish already, Hoose, but I personally hope the boys don't stop at two.  pray.gif
