ATP to consider ranking points adjustment?

Interesting bit in TennisLife UK magazine this month by Mike Dickson -

......... ranking points are now distributed too heavily in favour of main tour events, making it difficult for likes of James Ward to gain in the rankings - There is talk that the ATP may tweak things to redress the balance.
(Wonder why they only now realize this, could they not see it when they changed the rules? - We ordinary folk could)

Mike also picks up the fact as has been discussed here that thereis not a single teenager in the mens top 100 and that
Dan Evans was the highest ranked 18 year old in the world at 332 !

In the same article it suggests the the Brit women may save face of the LTA, I dont follow the ladies game that much but it does seem to me that the competition is not as fierce as in the men's game.

bit off topic. but if dan is still 18 does that mean that technically he could still be doing junior events?

No, you can't play junior events in the year you turn 19.

well we all said it wouldn't work, although Wardy to an extent is benefiting as he won a challenger this year, with the higher % allowance, esp as more of last years challenger winners point drop off.

be interesting to see if this develops further.
