Chances are they found the Bryans on a dark evening with the Bryans having a bad day but those are the times when you must take advantage and they did.
Enjoy the day off tomorrow.
I totally disagree with that. Fleming/Skupski have been winning consistantly all year. It's not like singles - confidence and a winning habit can be carried to any level in doubles - That's how the Bryans themselves got where they are in the first place. - Helped initially of course by the media-friendly novelty of being siblings.

Brilliant win. Top score to Colin and Ken, and nul points for the BBC
"Auntie Beeb" obviously had to leave to get to the bingo - or at least to watch her "soaps" or "Reality TV shows". I hope she had a cup of tea with a small buttered scone before she went home.

i remarked that the shooting smilie he's using was rather violent.
Aren't you being over-sensitive? I can't believe anyone would misinterpret/take exception to a comparatively innoncent gesture like that. I'm sure we all want to see Colin & Ken run Kubot & Marach out of town, preferably in straight sets, but if it comes down to the shoot-out that is the MTB, then so be it!
P.S. Don't assume that all the members of this board other than you, goldfish, Mad & Imoen are male...

The H & H match will resume at 14.00 on Court 9 tomorrow, while Jamie & Jonathan will be involved in the final match on the centre court against the seventh seeds, Jeff Coetzee & "Jordanie" Kerr (RSA/AUS). Bet "Aunty" doesn't show that one, either! Best of luck, boys.
Good to see Jamie pick up a much needed win and hopefully he and Erlich can get another one under their belts tomorrow.
But the story of the day has to be the excellent win for the Flemski. Don't know whether it was a stunning performance by them or they just caught the Bryans on a bad day, but either way, an amazing win for them, especially after the bad start they had were it looked as if they were going to be beaten easily.
Now that they've beaten the Bryans, they must feel as if there isn't any team that they can't beat, so it would be great to see them go on here and go really deep into the draw. Should have secured a WC to Eastbourne next week as well, presuming that they want one of course.

And, with a bit of luck, it'll make more than a few people beyond the membership of this MB sit up & take a bit of notice!
What OEM had to say about it in today's Times:
There was a late-night twist in the tale when Ken Skupski and Colin Fleming combined to produce a doubles result as significant as any in Britain's recent history.
Skupski went to college in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Fleming in Stirling, Scotland and whatever was on the tennis curriculum, they must have paid avid attention, for they defeated Bob and Mike Bryan, the multiple grand-slam champions and former world No 1 team, 6-4, 6-4.
Fleming had raced to Queen's, having won his first-round qualifying singles encounter for Wimbledon in the morning, and must go through the same rigmarole today.
Skupski, from Liverpool, said: "You watch TV when you're young and see the Bryan brothers and you think, 'Wow, I'd love to be playing against them, but at that level.' I'm speechless to be honest with you. Now we've got a job to do tomorrow [in the last eight]. When I hit my first second serve of the match and they nearly took Colin's head off at the net, that opened my eyes as to what to expect. But once we made a couple of big returns, it put them on the back foot."
