Ward's match has begun...so the BBC are talking about Murray and not showing the match.
They did the same when Hewitt's match was starting, but at least they showed the match and just talked over the top.
I couldn't believe it when they did that (sadly, it was much easier to believe JL indirectly putting the boot into his potential DC players again) - only two GB WCs in the draw, let's not show you one of them and only show you the other one when we feel like it!

James needs to get his intensity levels up, the crowd are rather subdued at the moment so they aren't going to help him.
I think I was expecting too much from James after his Queen's perforamnce last year and his recent Challenger success but he seems to be playing pretty poorly today - the amount of half court balls, on his backhand as well, that he's planted long or wide has been quite surprising.
It's not over yet though, shouldn't be all doom and gloom about it..!
Given this performance and last week's result, is it possible that Wardy has become too much of a clay court specialist, if you see what I mean. He looks quite out of sorts out there, much more uncomfortable than he did last year.

pretty poor performance from Wardy really. Baggy was solid but didn't seem to do much. Wardy just didn't test him at all. hopefully he will still gets WC's to the other 2 grass events, but unfortunately his performances haven't done him any favours.

Baghdatis looked good and played a pretty decent match but a bit disappointing from Ward really. By the time he got into the match it was already over and he never really challenged Baghdatis.
His serving wasn't up to the standard it needed to be, while he missed far too many easy shots by a big margain as well. And the fact he barely won a point on the Baghdatis serve was an issue as well.
Hopefully he can learn from this and do better at Eastbourne and Wimbledon, but it does look like he's going to end up having better results on the slower surfaces, which perhaps given the lack of players we have on those surfaces, isn't a bad thing.
I was annoyed when the BBC talked instead of showing the match - but when they did show it, I began to think it would be better if they went back to talking. . .
I was hoping for better than that from Ward, after his good showing last year. This match was almost embarrassing.
Didn't really think Ward would win this match but this result just shows as usual how far the guys have to go to get anywhere near the top 100. All the boys in quali's out in 1st round then the two wildcards out in main round 1. Barely halfway through the first afternoon and theres only Andy left. So Disappointing.
