the weather looks good for the next two days though so they should catch up on the matches. I doubt they'll ge much more play today. I'm suprised they got as much as they did.
Guys, you're all being way too critical on Anne. Yes is she should have won and yes Sania's been out of form, but shes a really good player and maybe this is simply the tournament where she's found it. My theory (oh gosh, I sound like sam smith) is that Sania probably just thought from 1-5 down that she would just completely murder every ball that came to her forehand, and it worked. Her forehand can be amazing.

I'm not a fan of this attitude of "oh she must have choked, she's British". Unless you were there you don't know for sure what happened. Sarah Borwell attacks such an attitude in her blog:
"The reason Im beginning my blog like this is not to talk about the merits of a night out in Nottingham, but to discuss the British mentality of always thinking the very worst. We for some reason take great pleasure in the art of being pessimistic; the glass is always half full with us, no matter how well we have performed.
Yes, in a lot of things we have underachieved, but surely, it would make more sense to ditch the sorry we are just British and we always lose, to the more American way of thinking reasons to be cheerful.
After a great week in Paris for the British women, I read various blogs about how the women are incapable of winning three set matches and that losing is so British and we are simply terrible on clay when in reality the girls stepped up another level once again.
We have Annie K making the semis of a WTA Tour Premier event, we have Katie and Bally very nearly qualifying in a Grand Slam on their weakest surface, and we have Mel who made the educated gamble of taking seven weeks out to train and stepping on court and playing a blinder against a future number one."
Anne lost. Sania is a quality player. Maybe Anne played badly, maybe Sania raised her game, but let's be supportive of her as compared to 12 months ago she is playing so well and I, for one, am proud of her.

I agree with everything Sarah says apart from Burrito being a future No 1, hehe.
Ha ha. Yeah I really hope Michelle "I sound like someone is trying to kill me" Larcher de whatever my name is doesn't hit the top spot, or at least if she does that she has turned the volume down on her "grunting".
