I wasn't ranking the girls in order of who would beat each other or on some kind of overall skill level (if that was the case mine would of been the same as James', but maybe moving Broady to #5 with katie at #6).
I ranked them based on how good they are on grass comparitavely with other surfaces.
So Anne is low, because she performs well indoors and on hard, but the grass is usually a poor points-gainer, and she struggles against players of a similar level that she would be able to beat at other times throughout the year.
Conversely, on grass Mel, Cav, Webley (if fit) and Broady can all play well above their ranking, so they were pushed up.
Katie was put out the top 10 as on grass she is really not that competitive against players should be able to cope with on other surfaces.
I don't for a moment believe that Liz Thomas is a better player than Katie, lol.

I find it quite fascinating to read the replies that nobody else see's Anne as the likely favourite to win all her matches on grass against her fellow brits. I think this time last year you could have argued that she wasn't but in the last 12 months her game and ranking have improved so much that I would back her to beat Mel every time. Only if Mel had a really hot day when everything came off with no ue could I see her beating her.
