Ditty takes it 76/64. Impressive performance from Tara, even if we were hoping for an upset - Ditty's nearly twice Tara's age, after all, and no.116. I think Tara just scored herself a Wimbledon QWC - looks like she could do some damage too!

Even so that is an impressive scoreline from Anna - best result of the year even if it is a loss! And amazing stuff from Joss on her first match back - remarkable; Gullickson's had some great results on both clay and hard, having qualified at RG. Sadly Jade got bagelled in the first, so doesn't look to be joining her. I do think it's a little harsh that Jade and Tara have had to play today after 3 matches in 2 days, when there are MD girls playing their first match tomorrow...

Anna has recorded 1 win in 7 months.

Unfortunately a 'close one' doesn't really cut it anymore.

She shouldn't of gotten a wildcard, she can play on this surface, and a couple of wins in qualies would have been a bigger boost to her ranking and her confidence.

When Wimbledon comes off she is going to be knowhere smile.gif

True; I have absolutely no idea of the logic behind giving Anna and Amanda WCs here - they desperately needed the wins over lower players - it's not so much the 6 points, but just the confidence.

Jade breaks then holds to go 5-2 up in the second - she's a fighter! C'mon Jade...
