Just to recap Josh's run to the semis - he's taken impressive advantage of one of the more benign quarters of the draw (once the top seed had gone out early) but has had to beat three higher-ranked opponents to reach the semis!
QR1: (q1) Josh Goodall WR 217 beat (WC) James Marsalek WR 1694 by 2 & 5 QR2: (q1) Josh Goodall WR 217 beat Tim Bradshaw WR 1147 by 2 & 2 FQR: (q1) Josh Goodall WR 217 beat Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) WR 344 by 3-6 6-3 7-5
SF: (Q) Josh Goodall WR 217 v (5) Ilja Bozoljac (SRB) WR 131 (CH=101 in 2007)
Bozo took out Dimitrov today, according to the Dimi fan on AM.com. He has a mixed record against Brits - he beat Boggo 3-6 6-2 6-1 in the Miami Challenger last year but is 1-2 down against him overall and 0-2 down against Jamie Baker. He is perhaps best remembered by Brits being the player Big Arv broke his DC duck against in a dead rubber in Glasgow in 2006.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
That's a great win for Josh against Amritraj who is very at home on a grass court and to win with the ease of which he did is very impressive.
It seems that Josh has become a different player ever since getting a lucky loser spot in Izmir and now must have a pretty good shot of winning the title here as Bozoljac isn't exactly the most consistant of players and I'm not sure that he's a force on a grass court (don't remember him doing anything anyway), while I suppose Evans or Mannarino in the bottom half would be the favourite for the title.
Definately proving that he deserved his Queens WC this week and probably has booked a WC for Eastbourne as well, as well as the one he's getting to Wimbledon. Now he's just got to break his curse at ATP level where I think in his 9 matches, he's won the total of just one set, and he has had some relatively nice matches in that list as well.
It's the Van Gemerden and Di Mauro results that are the ones that stand out as being shockers... it's a bit like the Eaton/Pashanski match from last year where you have a clay courter who's turned up at Wimbledon mainly for the cash against a grass courter who has come through qualies and thus should win easily.
The only difference is that Goodall was ranked 300 places higher than Eaton when he lost his matches, which makes the losses worse.
But since then, he hasn't had what you would consider an easy draw and you have to hope that he can get a good drawn in at least one of the ATPs this year... that said, he lost both his DC matches which were definately winnable matches.

Bozo won 1-6 6-3 6-4, so not without a bit of a struggle - another sign of the bloody Bulgarian's potential?
In the other semi-final, Brendan Evans, the victor over Mannarino by 6-3 3-6 7-5, will take on Sergei Bubka, who saw off Kendrick (2) by 7-6(3) 6-3 this morning. Bozo's the only seed left standing!

Colin Fleming (GBR) & Ken Skupski (GBR) bt Jamie Murray (GBR) & Gilles Muller (LUX) 7-6(5) 6-3
From the LTA site:
"Ken and I have had a great run in the doubles. We've been getting some good wins and today was a great test against two great players. I'm happy that we performed well today, got the win and that we'll be playing in Sunday's final. It's tough playing (fellow Scot) Jamie (Murray) at the best of times. He's a great player and a great friend so it's never nice to play him. Today we put aside the personal level and just concentrated on the match," said Fleming.
LTA summary of all of today's action. There is, however, a question mark over the winners of the women's doubles title, as the Beeb has Danilidou & Fujiwara beating Glatch & Grandin & given the screw-up over the outcome of Delgo's & Jonny M's match against Bubka & Kudryavtsev yesterday, I suppose anything's possible...
Can't see there being any play today outdoors today, and the forecast from the Met Office is heavy rain for tomorrow.
They will move the mens semis at least indoors I guess, not sure if bet365 could live score that though. So bascially we have no idea if they are playing or not!

Hi all! Finally recovered from my day at N. Didn't arrive home until 9.45 and then had to scoot off to the Polling Station to place my x before they closed. I'm glad you found the SC/Helki combo a welcome tool in finding out the scores. There wasn't a scoreboard so every so often I had to leave a match and go to check with a woman on the Aegon desk. Some of the matches were taking place at the same time so it wasn't always easy to decide who to watch. Not a massive crowd there, but the ones who were there were thoroughly devoted to the task of supporting the players ( as you'd expect) I was impressed with Josh's attitude, in the past when I've watched him, he's tended to droop around if things weren't going his way - but not today.
Chris played his usual game, seems to be an instinctive player, if it works he's a world beater. If not, things are over PDQ. He's a big lad and for me lacks the mobility to be topnotch.
Boggo, who I love to watch 'cos he has such fluency to his shots was outhit by the Bulgarian wunderkind.
I was trying to keep my eye on both the D/M & the all-Brit doubles matches, ending up with a crick in m' neck. I thought Col & Ken were down and out at one point, but they came storming back to win an exciting MTB. Probably a good thing with Goody doing so well in the singles. There was no sign of any "tanking" going on, though. Both pairs wanted to win. Easy-peasy for D&M.
I didn't see any of the M/M v Coetzee/Kerr match, I was enthralled by the battle between Bally & Naomi. Bally was so slow outta the trap that the 1st set was over before she'd blinked. She grew stronger as Naomi became more tired. ( I know, wrond thread, but what the h**l.)
It was a pleasure to be of assistance, and thank you to those who posted messages of appreciation.
Moving indoors will suit bozoljac as the faster the surface the better it is for josh. With his serve, volleys, forehand and bckhand slice i would favour him to win on the grass, but im not sure if he can move his great form onto indoor hard courts , but then again he does also get decent results here
