LOL yes, that one's not hard to figure out!

oh dear alex. and you want them to give you a Wimbledon WC? You claim you have no mental issues? yet you crack under pressure 99% of the time. twice in this match, at the end of the 2nd set and crucially at the end of the 3rd when you served for it. I'm not claiming i wouldn't crack under the pressure, but i think i could admit it at least and try and get help. its not just physical ability.

A heart-felt plea there, Count. hmm  On the mental thing, maybe he should think about consulting someone like Steve Peters, the psychiatrist attached to the British Olympic cycling team.  He helped Vicky Pendleton pick herself up after the disaster that was Athens (for her) & look what happened in Beijing! wink  He's even worked with Chris Hoy & various other leading British sportsmen & women.  There'd be no disgrace in it.  Just a thought...

Wow, never expected this result, Jamie's first back to back wins since Cincy, I believe:

Jamie Murray (GBR) & Gilles Muller (LUX) bt Jeff Coetzee (RSA) & Jordan Kerr (AUS) [1] 3-6 7-6(4) [10-8]
"Gilles and I are playing well together. We've known each other for a long time because we used to train together in Paris. As two lefties we're an unusual combination for other players to come across in the draw. Today's score was tight and it's been good to get a couple of wins on grass behind us here in Nottingham. I've got a good track record in Nottingham, winning the doubles here once and making the final another year so it's good to be back in the semis again and we just want to keep it going."

It does say that Delgy & Marray lost, but I trust Helki more than the LTA.

Don't suppose Helki has any news on the remaining doubles matches yet?

Murray/Muller in particular?

Have just read this on MTF "nice win for Muller/Murray" timed at 7.33pm.
but don't know if the poster means yesterday or todays match.
Thanks.

EDIT - just saw Wolf's post - brilliant news!!!
smile

Confirmed on the ATP site that Delgy & Marray won 6-3, 6-1; silly LTA!! Josh third on centre tomorrow, the mens doubles semis second on courts three and four.

Major well done to Helki for giving us updates and Stircrazy for relaying them today. thumbsup.gif

She's watching the Cav & Bally Show. I've asked her to confirm.

Terrific win for Jamie (& Gilles). biggrin  Really pleased for him. nod.gif  And guaranteed Brit interest in the final!  Can't be bad... thumbsup.gif

Can I take this opportunity to beg anyone flagging up Brit interest in the doubles section of a particular Grand Slam/ATP/Challenger tournament in which there are also Brits in the singles to start a separate doubles thread (unless I get there first, that is wink )?  This thread is a prime example of how news of the progress of teams involving at least one Brit can be swamped by a shedload of comments on singles matches!  It makes it so much easier to keep track if you don't have to plough through those... please.gif

She's now on her way home for a well-deserved rest after a long day at the coalface!  She's the one who did the hard work.  All I did was pass on the "intell" & it was a pleasure to be able to do so:  lovely to have someone willing to provide regular updates to fill the yawning gap left by the LTA, which clearly can't be @rsed to spend the money to provide us with a proper live results service! wink

Now there's a good idea ... someone who's proved that they can do it instead of some random shrink. It can hardly do any harm can it.
