 Jo's 83 in the Porsche singles rankings with 593 points on the WTA site. That's all the points she has accumulated from 2021 tournaments.  . If Jo will soon be 111 according to some yet to be published rankings where is Heather? Heather has less points accumulated  in 2021 than Jo.

 The WTA race only includes points from WTA 250 and higher events (500, 1000 and Grand Slams). The WTA ranking includes points from all events. So in this instance, the WTA race gives a misleading impression of where Jo stands relative to players who will have gained points at WTA 125 and ITF events.

Heather's WTA ranking is largely based on points she won in the first few months of 2020 (won Acapulco, semi of Hobart). These will drop on their respective anniversary (or when the tournament is next played, whichever is earlier). She is also defending R64 in Aus Open and 2nd round Abu Dhabi from 2021.

 Well...Heather will be 71 next week on the same ranking list that takes Jo down to 111 - Heather in fact has a great week and rises 3 spots to achieve that 71. It really does help show the absurdity of the WTA lists now, they dont really have any link to reality for many players

 It is a possibility that Jo won't get entry into the Australian Open unless she has changed her stance over CovId vaccinations. This might apply to some other players as well.
