Steven, how many times has alex won rd 1 RGQ now? 5?
Yes, that's right ... and you can bet some pesky Spanish clay court specialist is going to come along next year and stop him making it six in a row - they're good at that!
For some reason, the ITF player activity tabs don't show qualifying results - there seems to have been a slight formatting change too, so I'm hoping it's just a temporary error linked to that, since it would not be good to lose that info. You can still get to the results through the page for each tournament if you know what you're looking for. The Bogster's record is:
2005: unseeded, beat Greul (GER) 6-4 3-6 6-4 then lost to Gicquel (FRA) 2 & 4 - had he won, he'd have faced Nole, just turned 18, in the FQR!
2006: seeded 19, beat Saoudi (ALG) 3 & 3 then lost to (PR) Charpentier (ARG) 5-7 6-4 7-5
2007: seeded 9, beat Schukin (RUS) 5 & 1 then lost to Gil (POR) 3 & 0
2008: unseeded, beat (WC) Rodrigues (FRA) 0 & 3 then lost to Lopez-Jaen (ESP) 0-6 6-4 6-1
2009: unseeded, beat de Heart (USA) 4-6 7-5 6-3 then next up (26) Devvarman (IND)

Thanks for the scores one and all (though I have to say having three people scoring seconds apart did make it a tad difficult to work out who was serving at the end of the second set!!
I always like to see Boggo winning, hopefully he can manage a q2 win as well. No matter how much Bogs frustrates me, it seems to somehow make it sweeter when he does do well.
As for Josh, can't say I'm overly surprised. I don't really think he's a top 100 prospect, which is sad in a way but also means I think he is maximising his potential and for that I applaud him.

WOLF! boggo can beat anyone rankend 50-100 in terms of ability, however his mental and mind set cant. he needed a sports psyco in his earlier days sadly too late now.
The last British qualifier that I can unearth is Jeremy Bates in 1989 (lost in the third round to a certain B Becker). He may also be the last British male to reach final qualifying, but I haven't found the qualifying draws for 1990-1992 anywhere yet. No-one since then has won two matches in qualifying
