I dont know much about her except she is short :p and always seems to play in Spain. She even got a QWC into a Spanish WTA event a few weeks ago that could only really have been thanks to her Spanish links.

Either way we could see her in RG qualies next year or perhaps the year after if she can continue progressing on clay like this.

Amanda never played tennis in Gibraltar before moving to the UK in 1999. So she had never set foot on a Tennis Court let alone a Clay Court... She is now based in Barcelona and has a reletively small travel budget therefore the reason why she plays most of her tournaments in Spain.

She is also managed by Alex Corretja so yes she has contacts in Spain and is the Current Junior Champion of Spain. She is also relatively small but ultra fitsmile

Thanks for the info, Alex Corretja? Thats very interesting..... She must have something special then. But, isnt Alex with Murray during the clay court season? Would be very weird if both her and Anne suddenly played great clay court tennis while their coaches were MIA :S

She is not coached by Alex, just managed by him and his family who run a management agency for sports persons including many Barcelona Football Stars. Amanda spends around 1 week a month with Alex on court.

 Nice, make sure she knows how much support she has, and that a SF at RG is a minimum within the next 3 years please. biggrin
