The 200 points (net 180) Anne has gained so far this week should get her back to her career high of 48 or possibly even a place higher - she's midway between the scores of those who were in 47th and 48th on Monday.
Perhaps even better is the fact that she hs now amassed so many points since the start of 2009 that one more match win at WTA level (even a R1 win) should guarantee her a place in the year-end top 100 even if she failed to win another match for the rest of the year!

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Up until now I've felt Anne was still a little vulnerable to anyone in the top 120-odd; wins like this, which would've been big results only last year, speak volumes about her improved confidence - I really hope Mel and Katie can learn from that. I noticed Katie said in a recent blog she didn't think sports psych would help her - but I hope Anne can talk her round, as it's this self-belief which really seems to have made the difference for her.
Wow, fantastic! Wish I'd put some money on that Keothavong-Dulgheru final now! Who'd've thought that Anne's best ever run would come on clay? 180 points = top 50 again! Brilliant.
It actually 200 pints for a Premier SF!
Fantastic win Anne, now lets see if she can start to turn that SF record around!
That would be a little unprofessional would it not?
Plays Bondarenko who just completely demolished Maria. She was playing amazingly well but tomorrow's a new day and Alona isnt the most consistent performer and hopefully Anne can get Alona PISSED tomorrow. GO Anne!

Marvellous win for Anne. Enjoyed watching that on Eurosport. It's so good to have a british woman to follow in the big events now. Can't see her making the final but you never know.

Sorry to be a pain but if you know she'll finish top 100 with one more win, where would she stand in a race right now?
Does a womens race exist? I know they got rid of the mens one . I don't really follow womens tennis but I would be interested in how she is doing this year compared to everyone else.
Another good 'un for Anne. She's seen off the 7th seed, so why not the 8th? Whichever way it goes it's pleasing to see her putting a run of wins together, just in time for RG.
I think we'd probably all be quite disappointed now if she didn't win a round at RG (draw permitting), wouldn't we? It does beg the question, however, of what happened in her hard-court outings at the bigger events, where she lost despite favourable draws - perhaps the lack of pressure she feels to succeed on clay has been a big help. Also, she's travelling alone at the tournament - perhaps that independence is a big help. I just hope that the pressure to succeed on grass, with all her team there and the crowds, doesn't reduce her performance there.
