Brilliant week so far for Anne. Pity we won't get to see her play Sharapova but I assume we will get to see her match with Alona tomorrow. Missed today's but the score was excellent. Finally some success on the clay.
Yes, Anne's match tomorrow is scheduled on Eurosport.
From Anne's site;
"I played well but I think that my opponent was probably a bit tired, to be honest I felt pretty good out there and I think I was allowed to be aggressive and play the way I want to play. I knew she would be tired and that there was an opportunity there. I really wanted to go out there and get the win today.
I think I can be really proud that Ive reached the semis on clay, which is my least favourite surface, and especially because this is a Premier event and its the first time Ive done it at the highest level.
Im finding my form and Im getting used to competing at this level. I expect tomorrow to be tough, though. I played Bondarenko before a couple of years ago and lost to her and shes been playing pretty well lately.
Shes just come off beating a former World No.1 and a Grand Slam Champion and shell be a very tough to beat.
It would mean an awful lot to get to a first final after getting to the semis a few times, and it would mean even more because its on clay. Ive got to get past the semi-finals sooner or later and this would be a good week to do it."
Anne has made the most of a good draw - anything more would be a bonus, considering Alona's form and pedigree on the surface. I do not expect anything from Anne next week now though - I've noticed a lot of players experiencing unusually good results in the week before a Grand Slam then lose in the first round in the Slam
damn, Anne was just being outplayed here. Alona was on fire! I think Anne just needs to add a bit of width to her shots coz that's how Alona is winning. Anne would be attacking and then Alona (who is moving incredibly well) would chase everything back down and then hit an angeled winner or something. But then when it started raining, Anne thought they should go off immediatly and the Umpire stupidly kept on saying no and she lost her concentration and her serve again.
Hopefully Anne can collect her thoughts, find a new gameplan and come out here inspired! GO anne!

Annes very clever, she already realises that she wasnt doing enough and tried bringing her to net, which isnt always the best idea vs a GS doubles champ, but I think the rain delay could help her. Lets hope she can get a bit of rhythm before the 2nd...
Gutted. I'm in Australia and can't get Eurosport-does anybody have a link to watch it online?
In 40 minutes if they come back on it should appear here - http://www.justin.tv/tennisteam because that's when they move it to the main Eurosport channel again.
