James Feaver has teamed up with an unknown (to me) Aussie, Joshua Crowe, & the pair (WR2683) appears to have a better chance of success against the unranked Greeks, Charalampos Kapogiannis & Konstantinos Mikos.
James & Josh triumphed by 3 & 4 ( ). They will face the Romanian third seeds, Marius Copil & Petru-Alexandru Luncanu (WR1107), in the QF.
Unfortunately, James couldn't quite keep his momentum from the singles (Crowe lost in three to the eighth seed, Mergea) going in the doubles. Had a good go, though: he & Josh lost to the third seeds by 4-6 6-4 [6-10].
Just what I was thinking. However, after such a good day I'm almost tempted to repeat the results myself.

Why'd ya have to go and spoil it, SC?

A bit like three cheers for the Brits, you could say - well worth it too, excellent results and much needed after the disaster in Kuwait! Meatball seems to have been rewarded with a nice R2 draw for his efforts too.

Stunning day for all four of them in Romania, especially Willis's result, and all of them seem to have a pretty good chance of reaching the last eight here.

Oh dear, they really are - I didn't even award him his point last week (on the table, I mean), don't think I've ever done that before! I do compare the ranking points with the ATP list each week though, so I'd have corrected it once I looked into why next Monday's rankings didn't agree.
Anyway, after 0 points in 18 weeks, 2 in two weeks seems like quite an improvement!
