Morgan's also in the doubles, playing with yet another unknown (to me) Aussie, Andrew Thomas. They're unranked & have unfortunately, in theory, drawn the Brazilian fourth seeds, Diogo Cruz & Rodrigo-Antonio Grilli (WR498). Morgan, of course, beat Grilli in the singles after the latter retired, having lost the first set 4-6, so unless he's made a miraculous recovery, Morgan & Andrew could well end up facing an alternate pair...
Good win for Morgan, even if it was by retirement, and another ranking point won't go amiss.
Villagran is a decent player, but hopefully Morgan can give him a good match (and I'm sure he's played against him in the not too distant past, but Steven will probably have a better memory of that!)
