After the earlier disappointment in the doubles I'm mightily relieved, and impressed, by the result from Col & Ken. Fingers crossed that Delgo and pal can live up to their seeding when they tackle Burzi & Grassi tomorrow.
Things looking even better in their half of the draw. The top seeds Karol & Martin(CZE/USA) have just fallen 4-6 6-7(6) to Cabal & Galvani (COL/ITA).

Bloomers will NOT be playing his doubles partner next after all, instead it will be the Swedish Australian Nick Lindahl WR 323 who just won in 3rd set TB
He'll have to buck up his ideas a bit, too: it was the fifth seed, Pavlovs (WR 273), that Lindahl took out in three sets, albeit after a bit of a battle: 5-7 6-3 7-6(1)!
Shame that Fleming and Marray couldn't qualify, but hopefully one of them can still manage to sneak in as a LL.
Good for Bloomers to get a win as well, even though if perhaps wasn't as easy as we had imagined it could have been. Lindahl in the next round means that he has a half-decent chance of making the last 8 here, which would be great for him.
Dunno whether this is good news or bad for Flemski: their opponents in the quarter-final will be the Italian WCs, Riccardo Maiga & Giuseppe Menga (M&M! ), who have just seen off our old friend Frog Futures friend, Olivier Charroin, & Dmitri Sitak by 4-6 6-4 [10-4]!
