My guess? - now that Robert's streak has been broken, they needed to find someone else to come over and nick the winner points from each GB Future.

Must be. biggrin

Anyway, that was a poor show from Coxy. I don't think he will play again before Surbiton, although it would be good if he played qualies in Cremona - but I see no chance of that.

It'll be even more of a poor show if he turns up in Surbiton when all the rest of the players are in Nottingham wink

The indoor facilities are pretty limited at the county ground so they'd have to go elsewhere to play. But as the weather is always so beautiful in Newcastle I doubt they will have made any contingency plans!!
Playing both semis and final tomorrow would be my best bet for what it's worth.

De Chaunac won the other SF in three sets today but Smethurst and and Guez didn't play and will now commence at 9:00 tomorrow with the final 'after rest'.

Good effort from Smethurst and he got a bit closer than I expected him to, but it's been a good week for him anyway, and hopefully he can build on the semi final here when he next plays.

Bit immaterial, but in the battle of the French, some small consolation for Smethurst as Guez beat De Chaunac with a final set bagel.
