Pity they couldn't carry any momentum they may have had from winning the 1st set tie-break into the 2nd set. I always felt they would need to get there in two. Still it kept Potty occupied for some time, I just hope it's not played him into some good form.
A good run for H&H here and it should give them more confidence for the future. Kitzbühel next week?

What a massive disappointment! Had to leave work when they were 2-5 in the second set, hoping against hope that there would be good news when I got home. It's almost as though they put so much effort into winning that marathon tie-break that they just had nothing left to give when push came to shove in the MTB... Chins up, though, boys: we have every faith in your ability to push on from here.
Del Potro and Fish are good singles players, and Fish especially this season has had a great season in doubles.
I see where you're going with that line of argument, FD, & it may just have been given even more substance by the victory of the scratch partnership of NoDjo & Dusan Vemic over the established doubles pairing of Marcelo Melo & André Sá (the eighth seeds!) by 6-2 7-6(9)!

I guess further supporting evidence comes from the fact that the unseeded, but specialist, doubles pairing of Simon Aspelin & Wes Moodie have only just squeaked past NoDjo & Vemic by 4-6 6-3 [11-9]!
