... and so James cracks the top 250, ensures (I assume) a Wimby main draw WC, reaches his first Challenger Final and (unless anyone knows of someone I've missed) becomes the first Brit to reach a clay court Challenger Final since Tim Henman in Seoul in 1995!

Great to see Ward in a challenger final, and with Malisse (who is not the same player since the injury) and Carsten Ball (who has done nothing all season and beaten one top 200 player) in the other semi final, he's got a reasonable shot of winning this event.
Even if he does lose the final, he's shown that he can compete on the clay courts at challenger level, and hopefully that will enable him to pick up enough points all year round to get him up the rankings.
A final set TB win is always great for the confidence, especially coming from a mini-break down as well.
Good luck in the final as it would be great to see him win it.
