In one of the weakest events you will see Lottie Fox seems to have rather drawn the short straw as she tries to join Thomas, Mooney and Brown (an UNR player as a DA!) in the MD

FQR: (qWC) Lottie Fox UNR v  Georgina Garcia-Perez (ESP) UNR

Harsh draw tho as she does have two counters under her belt

Yes, I think you're right. There seems to be only one actual match to be played in the whole qualifying competition here, Draeger v Verhamme. It makes the women's doubles in Edinburgh look like quite a long tournament! smile.gif

I'm sure the tournament director is having a crisis at the moment trying to schedule the weekends play.

Obviously money is an issue but you would have thought some more players would have fancied a trip to the Canaries, must be fairly nice even though it's not summer yet.

Only 17 ranked players have entered, including Anne Priska Schaefer who is on a 47 match losing streak including being double bagelled by Liz, who I am sure is rubbing her hands at glee with this field. Would be good for Danielle to make major inroads into this and start to get her ranking up to where it ought to be and hopefully Nicola can get a point at least.

Not a bad performance from Lottie.

Wonder what Gomez did to get defaulted - especially given the scoreline.
