Marcus was playing Fitzy (who's had a very decent week nonetheless) so Jack Carpenter's our last hope for a Brit to KO a non-Brit in R2, and since he's playing Piccari ...

were the matches played indoors today? I am going tomorrow supposed to be dry but windy. Willis good result but Evans and Cox disappointing but then they were playing clay court specialists. Hoping to see Babos tomorrow in Ladies singles no 3 junior in world.
Same here ... and not really glum - Meatball should be winning matches like that and Fitzy can be very happy with his R1 win and the fact he didn't get thrashed by Marcus. It was just that the "great stuff again marcus!" suggested that maybe Alex thought he'd beaten a seed or something.

7-5 6-4 was my score. 5-2 up first set in HORRIBLE gusty rainy conditions.
dissapointing result to be honest. but fair play to will bomb, he chipped it around and played his game, i think in those conditions it suits his game more than mine, and score reflected that.
Bit of a shame i didnt have time to relax on getting past illingworth as i was almost straight on.
then we went inside for doubles, and went 6-3 5-1 up against number 1+2 seeds in singles (playing with thomas knights) and toughed it out 6-3 6-4. Alicade or what ever his name is (no disrespect) has an absolute cannon, at least 140mph.
Great result though and hopefully give knightsy some condifdence, think were playing coxy and milton tomorrow not sure.
