I didn't expect there to be any Brits for this week's red clay Challenger, but I'm glad I checked:

QR2: Ashwin Kuppusamy v (q7) Boy Westerhof (NED) WR 343 (both had byes in QR1)

17-year-old Ashwin is just outside the top 1000 juniors and lost to Lewis Burton 2 & 2 in R1 of the Nottingham Junior G4 tournament earlier this month, so playing a top 400 player in his first senior match could be quite a challenge! hmm

QR2: Ashwin Kuppusamy lost to (q7) Boy Westerhof (NED) WR 343 by 0 & 0 cry

I doubt any of you will be too surprised by the scoreline, but like FD and the Wolf before him, at least he made the effort to have a go and hopefully he's learnt stuff from his experience.

For the record I would have been happy to read the doubles results in this thread Alex especially since the title doesn't restrict it to singles action.
