QF: Alexander Ward WR 846 lost to (4) Albert Ramos-Vinolas (ESP) WR 360 by 6-7(2) 6-4 6-3 cry

A pity, but he seems to be playing above his ranking level at the moment and you can't ask much more than that.

Decent performance in defeat.

In a way its a shame he plays in Spain as, with good event selection, he is getting near the point of being seeded and from then you get into a virtuous circle.

          And, Ramos-Vinolas went on to win the tournament.
