Tara was doing really well last year and then had the all the points from her best result removed because of a technicality over wild cards. She seems to have had poor results ever since. This is the best result she has had for a while so lets hope it's the start of another surge up the rankings.

Russian mother?

There is probably as simple an explanation as that behind British distance runner Mara Yamauchi having a Japanese surname.
