Still some interest here, for some of us anyway. All the Brit pack are on court in the doubles tomorrow. Goody & Aucks on court 1 and Delgo & Meffert, who won his singles today, on court 2. Both matches are last to take place.

Yesterday's results for them as like to be in possession of all the facts - like me!
Delgo & Meffert beat Lorenzi & "Stoppers" (ITA/ITA) by 5-7 7-5 [13-11] (bit of a battle, that one, but at least they got there! )
(3) Aucks & Goody beat WC José Checo & Adrián Menéndez (ESP/ESP) by 7-6(5) 6-4.
One pair will finish the match with at least 27 ranking points, the other with just 13. I guess I kind of lean towards hoping Aucks, who rose 8 places in the rankings to 148 on Monday, & Goody will pull it off!
Those results took their time percolating through. Pleased the wait wasn't in vain. Shame they have to play each other but at least it means some Brit interest in the SFs. I, too, am inclined towards a win for the complete Brit duo, but if it's Delgo & Meffert 'tis still okay.
We've been put out of our misery much earlier today! The doubles QF results have been posted already on the ATF site & the third seeds, Aucks & Goody, have triumphed over Delgo & Meffert in two tie-breaks, 7-6(3) 7-6(6). Disappointed for Delgo, given the number of points he was defending this week...
Aucks & Goody will face the unseeded Spanish pair, Carlos Poch & Fernando Vicente, in the SF after they thrashed the Yankee second seeds, Widom & Yani, 1 & 2 today! Hope they offer sterner opposition...!
Tight match between the two pairs, congrats to Aucks & Goody, commiserations to Delgo. Their match against the Spanish pair is first on Pista 2 at 13.00, local time. The Spaniards look as though they are a duo not to be trifled with. After today's disappointment in Rome a win would be good here.

The Canary Islands are on the same time as the UK, so the SF will kick off at 13.00 here, too. Couldn't agree more that we could do with another win to make up for Andy's loss today, but don't for one minute underestimate the Spaniards...!
Aucks & Goody into the final. They were winners today 7-5 7-5. It will be the GER/AUT pairing of Petzschner & Peya in the final, surprise, surprise. They had an easy win against Sirianni & Smeets running out 6-2 6-1.
Final is tomorrow, not before 16.00. C'mon lads, sock it to 'em.

Terrific news! Well done, James & Josh. That said, P & P, the top seeds, represent a formidable challenge: they've dropped only six games all week! Still, a minimum of 45 ranking points in the bag for the boys!

There's a massive gap between P&P's combined ranking (93) & those of the other three seeded pairs: Widom & Yani 347, James & Josh 368 & Bubka & Molchanov 383. They clearly couldn't be @rsed to mix it on the red stuff in the four times more valuable tournament in Tunis, where they'd also have been the top seeds, or Ostrava, where they'd have been seeded second, & didn't fancy picking on opponents their own size in Rhodes, where they'd have been the third seeds! Talk about choosing your tournaments...
