H&H are in this 24 doubles draw and they have drawn the Spanish wild cards Guillermo Alcaide & Alberto Martin in the first round with the winners facing the 7th seeds Bruno Soares & Kevin Ullyett (BRA/ZIM).
I'm sure they would like to but it's likely they won't make the cut. The cut-off point for Masters Series generally hovers around the 60 mark and their combined ranking as it stands is 67. This week for Monte Carlo it was 51, but that was with a lot of singles players entering.
If Ross and Andy played they would get in and there is also a fair chance Jamie and Andy would make the cuts, they were in the draw for Monte Carlo until 5 minutes before the deadline.
Our interest here this week begins tomorrow. H&H are last match on Pista 4. This court must be for the doubles teams, all the matches on it tomorrow are doubles matches. I'm counting on you boys to get off to a winning start.
Rain stopped play before the guys could get on court.
Play has now resumed, but it looks suspiciously as though the OoP's been rejigged to deal with a slight backlog in the singles: the match about to start on Court 4 is Robin Söderling vs Teimuraz Gabashvili! Wonder if H&H will actually get on court today?

Nope! On tomorrow's OoP, second match on court 4, providing the weather doesn't play silly beggars again.
So far, so good: H&H broke Alcaide's/Martín's opening service game only to drop their own service twice to go 1-3 down. Then, however, they somehow (I'm supposed to be working, not LS-watching! ) managed to turn things round to take the first set 6-3! 2-3* at the moment. Fingers firmly crossed that they can maintain their momentum in the second set...
