looking at the schedule on his website it would appear as though he is keen to play wimbledon main draw but has both eastbourne and wimbledon qualies down. i do hope he doesnt forfit wimby qs for doubles at eastbourne though
Daily Mail suggesting that Boggo, who the LTA should off a WC to as he is top 250, might have it turned down by the AETLC and force him to go through qualies.
could just be the daily mail sh1t stirring, they don't have any firm quotes as such.

"While the LTA will recommend him for a wildcard on the basis of a modest ranking improvement in the past 12 months, there is a strong body of opinion at the All England Club which says that he should have to try his luck in the qualifying event this year."
I can't help but think Alex would really, positively benefit from going through qualies in a bid to silence others. It's not like he's a bad grass court player, he's won some matches at Nottingham before so if he's good enough, he'll make it. However, I understand the argument that he is still Britain's number two player. Most casual fans in this country know who he is...
Thoughtful piece by OEM in today's Times prompted by the five-set defeat Josselin Ouanna handed out to Marat Safin at Roland-Garros yesterday & musing on Brit players' chronic inability to put a Wimbledon WC to productive use!
It must help the self-belief having so many successful French colleagues in the main draw and winning matches. Five of tomorrow's eight men's third round matches feature a Frenchman.
i dont think alex will take part in any playoffs. i am 99% sure the lta will offer alex a wc as he fits their rules, its just whether aeltc will agree to it
