Would make sense for those players to be getting WC's and I don't think there can be too many complaints about them.
If you add Goodall, Evans, Ward and Grosjean to that list as probables as well, while if Mahut beats Cilic on Wednesday you can probably add his name to the list, which leaves one WC open, which may or may not go to Boggo depending on what Wimbledon do, while I believe that Thomas Johansson and Joachim Johansson could also get WC's depending on their fitness and whether or not they want them, but qualies may be where they end up.
Dent plus Slabba, Fleming, Marray, Cox, Eaton and the winners of the WC play-off to get them for qualies, plus Bloomers as well if he isn't injured would be my guess for qualifying.
Also handed wild card entries were former World No 1 and French Open champions Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain as well as British men Alex Bogdanovic, Daniel Evans, Josh Goodall and James Ward, the latter pair having lost in the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club on Monday.
In the men's draw Alex Bogdanovic, Dan Evans, Josh Goodall and James Ward have been allocated wild cards into main draw with Richard Bloomfield, Dan Cox, Chris Eaton and Alex Slabinsky all given a chance to come through qualifying.
Wow.... I can't believe that they've given Boggo a WC...didn't expect it to happen and I can imagine just how bad the negative press around this is going to be, but he is still the British number two and by the system that the LTA have set out, he has to get a WC.
Look forward to seeing him at Eastbourne now along with Ward, Evans and Goodall and I presume the latter three will get WC's ahead of him.
Two WC's for the main draw left open then... probably for Grosjean and Mahut, depending on what they do this week.
Guess for the 5 remaining qualy WC's... two will go to the play-off winners, one will go to Dent, while the other two are up for grabs.
i don't see what slabba has done to earn any sort of wc.
Those ranked in the 251-500 range would recieve a qualifying WC according to the stipulations put down by the LTA, so as Slabba is ranked in that range, he gets one.
And after his effort at Queens at the weekend, he's worth a WC for qualifying as he could trouble a few players.
