Hehe.  It's not too shocking, really! Bloemke is just back from a hiatus (which normally means an injury) and this tournament was the first time this year that he has won a main draw match. Metenier may have been injured/sick/depressed/bored for their clash since he withdrew from Turkey F6. Add to that the fact that this was his sixth match in a short period and that Dan has bagelled Niland and Fischer in the last few weeks, and 60 60 doesn't seem impossible.

Yep, hindsight is a wonderful thing! But it's a special result anyway.

 

Does this take him into the top 600 then?

I think technically though this win will take him in as we've dicovered with the new points system its very hard for Challengers and Futures players to defend their points. Come the end of the season, wins like this will automatically help Cox be higher than he currently is. (I hope this makes some kind of sense!)

Mervatron - I think it's because qualifying for next week is taking place there today too and they don't update until both are over for the day.
