Girls: Morocco International Junior Championships - Grade 2 (Week 14)

Casablanca hosts the last of the junior tournaments to start this week, seeing the return to junior action of Jessica Ren after her title in Sweden. Lucy Brown and Laura Deigman took advantage of friendly draws against local players. Jess is similarly favoured, but Joanna Horne has drawn one of the stronger Moroccans.

R1 (L32)

Lucy Brown (GBR) defeated Camelia Abdellah (MAR) 6-0 6-3
Sabina Lupu (ROU) defeated (4) Elisha Gabb (GBR) 6-3 7-5
Laura Deigman (GBR) defeated Asmae Benzit (MAR) 6-3 6-0
(5) Jessica Ren (GBR) Vs Fatyha Berjane (MAR)
Lina Bennani (MAR) Vs Joanna Horne (GBR)

Berjane's last junior match was in June, losing 6-2 6-1 to Jess, so that's a very disappointing reversal.

Jess pulled out of the doubles, so presumably some injury or illness explained the singles embarrassment.
