Hopefully James Feaver not appearing in the qualifying draw and having been Alt-3 to the no. 1 qualifying seed's Alt-5 means he got a main draw DA here in the end.

Yes, well done to Nikki - it's only his 3rd win in 21 attempts to qualify. The other two were against Iran's Nardair Arjomandkhah (4 & 0 in Sunderland in Jan 2008), who has never won a set, and GB's Gary Chamberlain (1 & 0 in Cordoba in Sep 2008), who has won 1 set but suffered 6 bagels in 7 matches.
It was in Cordoba that he played the Wardinator (i.e. Alex - not Wardy, i.e. James) in QR2 and won the 1st set on a t/b.
Chomaev had a 2-23 record before today (i.e. similar to Nikki's but very slightly worse), but one of those wins was against Davydenko - Kolya's nephew Philipp, obviously!

L32: James Feaver WR 826 v (3) Karim Maamoun (EGY) WR 473
Maamoun was ranked in the 200s in 2006. The only Brit ever to beat him was Miles Maclagan in 2002, though he's only played three Brits since, most notably beating Slabba 5 & 3 in 2005.
