Ivan made it past Andreev in 3 sets 6-4 6-7(5) 7-6(4) in a tiring match lasting over 3 hours (Andys match was 50 minutes). Ivan saved a few match points as well.
Andy currently has a 2-2 record (2-1 on hard) with unranked Ljubicic (WR 74) , although the last time Andy lost was the 2007 Doha final. He beat Ljubicic easily in the first round of Rottedam this year.
Ivan is 5-5 in the year so far and has been sliding down the rankings, this is easily his best result so far.
I had forgotten that Andy was still 18-1 for the year! He has been in great form apart from the injuries!
On paper it looks pretty straight forward, so I'm going straight sets again. However Ljubcic must be in some form as he did knock Simon out.
Looking to the Semi finals, the winner of will play the winner of Federer vs Verdasco, so things are likely to get tougher if he reaches that far!
Match is on at 1pm local time on court 1, which i think is 8pm uk time.

At the start of the tournament, I would have been delighted at the prospect of a quarter-final. At this point though, I shall be very disappointed if Andy doesn't get to the semis - I feel he really should be able to beat Ljubicic these days.
Come on, Andy, you have to win this in straight sets - I have to go out shopping at 10. . .
I hate that low camera angle they keep using, especially behind the server: it's just about impossible to see the service line because of the net tape. Well it might be ok on a tv screen, but on a little livestream it's difficult.
Andy seems lethargic, if he gets through this I doubt if he will have enough in the tank to beat Fed or Nando. I'd like him at least to get there, though!
