It's weird how Yasmin seems to have just gone downhill in the past 18 months. When she first burst onto the tour she looked for a while like a cert for the top 300. I watched her in Bath last week and although her ability at the net is excellent and her biggest strength, she just seemed very, very rusty from the back of the court missing a number of easy balls.
I also hesitate to say this in case she reads this on here but compared to the other girls in action, I think she needs to work on her fitness, her movement round the court did let her down.
As for Tara, it all depends which one turns up tomorrow !! Although she lost 6-2, 6-0 to Vankova last week in Bath she was in control of most of the rallies with some huge ball-striking but Vankova is a good retriever and Tara just kept missing the final ball. Once she learns a little bit of patience in working the rallies and shot selection, she will progress much faster....too often she "plays like a millionaire," going for the out-right winner of absolutely anything
Tara 6-3 5-0 . Mandy really appears to have lost her form completely but it is really good to see Tara back to form and lets face it she has far more potential than Mandy.
Mandy is just going backwards, and fast. She needs to find a way to sort this out because her results are just getting worse and worse, and she's got pretty good potential.
Pleased for Tara though, its time for her to start making advances up the rankings too

Amanda's really struggling against the big hitters at the moment, its the 3rd time in 3 weeks she's been hit off court. She has a big serve but at the moment she can't seem to live at the back of the court with players like Tara who hit it flat and hard.
