Robredo finally overcomes Cilic 7-5 7-6, although it would seem to be a bit of a scrappy game, there were 9 breaks of serve and 20 break points.
Andy has doubles tomorrow with Ross, although he is on first so should get plenty of rest before playing Wednesday against Robredo.
Robredo is one of the only top players that Murray has never beaten, leading the H2H 2-0. both results coming on hard courts. However they haven't played since 2007 when he lost in the Metz final.
I will go for Murray in straight sets, this draw is turning out quite nicely for him.
Elsewhere in Andy's quarter, Simon was taken out by Ljubicic and he will play the winner of Tsonga/Andreev.
According to an article in the Times today, Andy is having a break from Miles for a while and will now be working with Corretja for the clay season.
Quote from Andy
Thats why when I come to the States, I travel with Jez Green [a physical trainer], and in Europe with Matt Little [also a physical trainer]. Miles and I do a lot of the same things most days and it is repetitive in a good way but sometimes its nice to do something different and Alex will have different ideas, different drills and its good to keep your mind fresh.
Hopefully Murray shouldn't have too many problems with this match, but Robredo is in good form at the moment and the courts are fairly slow which does help him - that said, Murray should come through this in straights.
Alright, own up, who stole Andy's first serve in that game? After an easy first set you're supposed to solidify it at the beginning of the second set, I don't care how badly you want more court time to up your fitness levels.
