And the results of the outstanding four matches for the sake of completeness:

(6) Yannick Mertens (BEL) bt Marek Semjan (SVK) 4-6 6-3 6-2

Valentin Sanon (CIV) bt Marc Sieber (GER) 7-6 (7-5) 7-5

Stéphane Robert (FRA) bt Ervin Eleskovic (SWE) 6-7(8) 6-4 7-6(3)

Ladislav Chramosta (CZE) bt Henri Kontinen (FIN) 6-2 3-6 6-3

So

L16 (1) Fischer WR 200 Cox WR 814
L16 (6) Mertens WR 297 vs (WC) Fleming WR 572
L16 (WC) Eaton WR 384 vs (8) Minar WR 345
L16 (Q) Illingworth WR 698 vs (3) Robert WR 278
L16 (7) Bloomfield WR 335 vs Metenier WR 404

*  Why, oh why does bloody Robert persist in playing in Brit Futures when there's a (theoretically more rewarding) event ($15,000+H) chez lui? confuse

L32: Daniel Evans WR 451 lost to (2) Michael Yani (USA) WR 238 by 4 & 4 cry

L16: (WC) Dan Cox WR 814 v (1) Martin Fischer (AUT) WR 200
L16: (WC) Colin Fleming WR 572 v (6) Yannick Mertens (BEL) WR 297

alright guys, who is this person who has the name as 'fitzy for top 100' ??

Also regarding the willis fat comments, slightly uncalled for as im sure he is going big in the gym and will get down to what ever weight he has been set.

But honestly who ever was calling him fat, it wont affect him, hes not that type of person.

Regardless of who you speak to on here whether a player, fan, parent, journo or coach being blatantly personal is absolutely NOT on.

We have protected this forum from all sorts over the last 4 years and we are not about to put up with personal jibes which are so unfounded.

Having strong opinions on GB tennis is one thing but this clap-trap is no welcome.

Please withdraw your slander and stick to commenting on tennis.

Really want you to be part of this forum but you have to get with it.

Last warning.

Not the best day with Marray and Evans losing (although to higher ranked opponents, it's just that we expected them to win), but at least Cox got past Wolmarans to give us one Brit who we didn't all expect to get through.

Good wins for Illy, Fleming, Bloomers and Eaton as we hoped, but it's a shame that none of the others could get through despite them putting up a good effort.

Bloomers and Eaton are the best chance of getting a QFinalist here, although Fleming could push Mertens, and I'm sure Cox has given Fischer a good match before - Illy though will be just another victim for Robert (why couldn't he have lost that TB!!!)

I do find all this name calling rather pathetic we have had this on here many times before and it usually comes out as being other players doing so to provoke a response from each other, maybe this is why British tennis is in the state it is in.

It seems to be the same person/coach sticking up for the players on each occasion which is admirable but if I remember correctly was this not the same coach who had his own badly behaved unprofessional players hack his password to name call and abuse players?
I do find it all rather tidious hence my reluctance to post on here for a while and whilst it seems that the two players that have tried so hard to create mischief and scandal in the past have thankfully stopped playing as they were going no where fast, I can't help but wonder are they at the root of this abrupt and rather pointless slating of Marcus Willis as they have been with Sean Thornley, Andrew Fitzpatrick, George Coupland & Ahmed El Menshawy?

As for the coach in question, it seems he has had a lot of success for a young coach but surely it can not do his career any good by getting involved in mindless, immature, pointless name calling of players as their unofficial head defender?

For a site that was once a very good one for information and results for the true tennis fan, it seems it has once again returned to the sad and pathetic soap opera that has discouraged so many exsisting members to stop posting and leave the site, I hope the powers that be can look at this and try to police this site better in the future.
