That's a pity, though 8 games is as many as Bloomers got off Nielsen last year and more than Slabba, Illingworth, Kasiri, Flan, Cox or Skupski managed!

Richard Gabb was your average county junior 4 years ago. He has been based down at Millfield Sports College in Street, Somerset for the past four or so years and under the tutorledge of one of the former top welsh coaches has improved a hell of a lot. My experience of him, although a long time ago was that we was a player that although nothing particularly special, worked really hard and quietly improved over the years. Fair play. I'm hoping he can penetrate Illingworth's steady tennis!

Well done Dan Cox for beating the giant S African smile.gif but sadly the bottom quarter is looking a lot less hopeful now that Jonny has lost and Evo has suffered the revenge of the no. 2 seed for beating him last week. cry

are you ignorant or what? Nielsen is like 250 in the world and has like a 15:1 record against Brits...Meatball did well against him

possibly the most ignorant post on this board. If you want people to believe anything you say you should probably refrain from making such ridiculous unfounded statements.

A quick copy and paste (from ITF) then sort gives us Nielsen's 51-8 record v Brits at all levels (including plenty in the top 500), including a 25-1 record since Colin Fleming beat him in 2006. That's the context in which a 4 & 4 loss can be seen as a good effort by a player just inside the top 1000.

I think everybody needs to be aware, when reading Jazar's posts, that a couple of years ago he was saying on MTF that Andy Murray had no talent and would get nowhere.

'Nuff said.
