L96: Anne Keothavong WR 51 v Olga Govortsova (BLR) WR 58 - winner to play (28) Shuai Peng (CHN) WR 34
Govortsova has a 6-1 record against GB players, but the "1" is Anne, who thrashed her 2 & 0 in Opole back in 2006, though this was when the Belarussian was 18 and ranked outside the top 300.
Peng has a 2-0 record against Brits, but they were both easy wins against Annabel Blow (CH=417 and not a name I remember) in India back in 2002. Apart from reaching R3 at the AO, where she lost to Serena, she hasn't had a stellar start to the year.

I remember having a good laugh with a friend about this girl. Aside from the "hilarious" surname she seemed to find amusing (and it kinda was in our teens), she has a scathing player profile on gbtennisgirls where she basically says the whole tour is boring, lonely, rubbish, etc - she obviously didn't love it all that much and there are parts of it that I can say "yeah, I guess it would be" but there's a part of me that read that and thought "no need to discourage others, love!"
Those losses were her last matches before she quit in fact. I think she played/still plays County tennis occasionally.
Annabel Blow played our county championships(Leicestershire http://www.92computing.com.au/LLTA08/cat.htm ) last year but clearly she is nowhere near as good as she used to be, which would be expected I suppose if you quit professional tennis. However, she was the number 1 seed and lost to a 15 year old girl who I would suspect wouldn't win a game if she played Annabel at the standard she was playing at when she was playing on tour. I'm not sure if she still plays for the county, but the county championships is the only time I have seen her play.
