RE: Elena Baltacha

A very sad day today with Bally's funeral being held.

Thanks for the link, Phil. Bit frustrating, though, the way it simply highlights the "stars" without even mentioning (or captioning, in a picture which includes him) her husband, who was so much a part of her successes and has done so much with her for the local area. Thoughts and prayers with all who loved her.

BBC sports news tennis page has Nino and Judy behind coffin - tennis stars following - difficult one to get the balance right.

It was the only link I could find which had video footage, yes Nino deserved more coverage.

Has the Rally For Bally even been mentioned during the BBC's coverage of Queens yet?

They have interviewed her husband on Radio Five Live (Steven tweeted the link) - it's both inspiring and absolutely wrenching.

Agreed spectator. For those who missed the interview on the radio the BBC have an article up covering it

Good to see the Rally for Bally at Queen's with Andy and Jamie Murray, Ross, Heather, Martina Hingis and the multi talents of Victoria Azarenka, plus Laura displaying her interview skills.

But best of all, and most heart warming, were these few games played in by the young kids from the Elena Baltacha Academy. Some pretty nice shots too :)

Don't know. It was on the BBC red button, which has returned to World Cup coverage.

It was lovely to watch today. Such a shame it was in such bad circumstances

Watched the snippet with Nino on the BBC news website. Was heartbreaking

I think I heard that it will be on BBC iPlayer - I can't see it at the moment, but it may be there later. The last Queens on there is day 4 at the moment.
