Kontinen and Evans lead 4-1 (I think with 2 breaks)

Robert is a class act, so clever. Way to good for futures level. Dan played a great match and should be proud of his performance this tournament (although it has to be said Robert was just conserving energy at the end of the 2nd). If it wasn't for a lax service game at 3-3 in the 3rd (the 5th succesive break) it could have been different.

Bloomers...it's the kind of match he really should win. I missed the end of the 3rd set but he seemed to get too easily down on himself which he shouldn't have because he was playing well.

The doubles was a really good standard. No-one was getting any cheap points off serve and they all returned brilliantly so it made for some great doubles play. Evans and Kontinen are both mega talented, both unluckly to lose to Robert in the singles, but they played a good match with many groundstroke winners including one shot from Dan...well it is hard to describe how good it was.

Disappointing that Evans and Bloomers both went down in three sets, and although that is a pretty decent result for Evans, it's a match that Bloomers really should be winning.

At least Evans picked up a title in the doubles as some kind of consolation for the week.

Wolf,

You asked what my point was when I reacted to your blog on the Tipton qualies, well to be honest you were pretty poor from what I saw and definitley in the bottom two!

I dont know if your trying to get into sports journalism but dont you think that knowledge of the sport your actually writting about is a pre-requisite for informing others of what is actually happening?

Im tired of your personal jibes. Who are you to judge to anyone.
all are welcome on here to offer various opinions on tennis. You seem to pick out people rather points.

Anymore personal jibes and your posts will be deleted.

We have just found out today that one of our most entertaining and enthusiastic members past away recently. DJ will be missed. I would rather have 1 DJ than 10 judgemental posters intent on winding folk up.

Be warned.

You talk to me about knowledge and say I was the second worst player there? As I've stated there were 3 players there who could barely hit a tennis ball. Yes I'm pretty poor I entered qualies for fun I'm a club player mate. Do you feel good about yourself making unprovoked jibes about people?

In reply to Drew's post about Shush (Wolf nipped in before me!)

I'll second that. I have noticed confrontational posts from this person before.

Your contributions will be welcome as long as you refrain from personal attacks.
