The Wolf has made it into qualifying here - he even has a bye in QR1, so clearly a lot of people registered for qualifying didn't turn up because only the seeds were meant to get byes. He has a slightly kinder draw than ForeverDelayed had in Exmouth, having been drawn to face fellow debutant, 15-year-old Jack Busby in QR2 - 3rd on Court 6 not before 13.00 GMT.
Wolf is in the same section as Bloomers, who seems to have decided to turn up and be the 'ringer' in qualifying here. Very good luck to Fitzy too, who is Q seed no. 11.
All unranked and GBR unless otherwise stated:

I'm not sure where the main draw WCs have gone, since Alt-1 Illingworth and Alt-2 Milton will have got DAs unless there are any SEs in the draw, Alt-3 Cox might well have got a DA too (or will have one of the WCs) and the only Brits below him on the list not in qualifying are Flan (too old and uncommitted for a WC, surely) and Ben Pritchard. I wonder if one has gone to someone like Chris Eaton, who was down to play qualifying in Kyoto (and would only just have missed out on a DA there) but obviously couldn't get there due to DC.

Can't tell you how glad I am I didn't draw Bloomers! Can't really complain and I'm confident that if I serve well I can do OK (e.g. at least get on the board) and we'll see how it goes.

I was thinking the same Steven, perhaps Josh Goddall or James Ward as well?

I suppose the nice thing about that draw, for either Joey or his opponent, is that if you've actually had to win a match to get a chance to play Bloomers, getting blown off the court by him isn't anywhere near as embarrassing as if it happened in your first match.

Yes, perhaps. The reason I only mentioned Chris is that Josh was a DA for Kyoto and I think the ATP rules prevent you from playing in any other tournament if you withdraw under those circumstances unless you get officially "released" - you never know, maybe the LTA have helped him apply for this given the circumstances. I don't think Wardy was entered for anything, so he could be getting one.
It's a bit odd that Josh went for Kyoto when he knew he had a good chance of being in the DC team, especially when he often tends to prefer playing a home Future over going for a Challenger even under normal circumstances. Any other week, I'd be saying it was a great choice of course!
Anyway, I was speaking to Drew last night and he says they've been promised they'll know the WCs tomorrow, so we won't have to wait until Monday evening to find them out this time.

Alright guys hope all is well. havent been on here in a while so thought i would say hi.
How are you doing Fitzy....Im in the press centre at Braehead rubbing shoulders with the great and the good....when you going to be playing Davis Cup anyway ????
Its been such a roller-coaster weekend....the guys have busted a gut here and IMO its the lack of the big match experience that counted in the end. Whats you take ?
