i agree certainly they will not want to give him one and will do their best to wriggle out of it. i think he thinks he wont get one.
i still feel that Boggo will be GB no2 come Wimby, he has about the same points to defend as Josh (124 (-9 so far from this week) compared 112) between now and then, and feel he is more likely to earn more.
Tennis is a fairly even playing field, it was almost a year ago that Alex nearly fell outside of the top 300, yet he has got himself back up the ranking. if he cna do it surly the others can if they deserve WC's.
Not surprising he doesn't feel that he is likely to get a WC considering how he has been treating by the LTA.
I'd be surprised if Boggo wasn't British number 2 at Wimbledon as Boggo is much more likely to pick up points than Josh is, although if he gets a nice draw in the Asain challengers he is playing he could score heavily (but then so should Boggo in Jersey), and when the clay season comes along, Boggo is more likely to pick up points (not that it is saying much though)
Despite all Boggo's failures at Wimbledon, only once (Kevin Kim) has he really been given a nice first round draw, so surely must be due one - if he had the draw Eaton had last year or Bloomers when he beat Berlocq then he would have surely had a win by now and who knows what that would have done to his confidence.
i suspected that was the score SC. not too upset. Alex knows he will most likely have a tough match tomorrow, he doesn't want some 'jobsworth' scheduling his dubs mid afternoon with a evening match lined up later (i guess, assuming Santoro comes though, it will be another 8.30pm match).
FD, you raise a good point, Alex has never really got points away from the more establised venues, the odd QF in an indian challenger aside. I guess he likes his home comforts too much :) but also the weather conditions aren't good for him. But if you cant take it i thik the average opponet to beat per point won will probably be lower so its a good move. (maybe steven can work that out?)
doubt there will be much clay action this year, seem to be a few more hard ct challengers knocking around this time.

I assume you meant "can" not "can't"? I'm sure it is lower, but Akhenaten's your man for stats that require that much data.

pretty comprehensive scoreline, however i assume Alex was watching the match (i couldnt my stream didnt work) and maybe he can take encouragement from the fact that FS didn't serve a single ace and only had a 1st serve % of 57%, (although he did win 87% of them), and that Matt generated 7 bp's even if he couldnt convert any.
surely Alex will feel that if he can get in a rally he has a chance.

Yes it is. I think I must have copied and pasted the Cherbourg title and changed everything but the numbers. I can't believe nobody's spotted it unttil now either, but when ranking points have been talked about on this thread, they've been the points appropriate to a $125K+H so no real harm done. I've changed the top post now too.

Curiously, it seems that Santoro has withdrawn from Indian Wells. Is he allowed to do that? Perhaps his medium told him that he would sustain a significant injury againt Al.....
