unlucky alex, you gave a bloody good account of yourself, against a player you really do not expect to be bumping into at challenger level.

part of the issue is just having to raise your game to the opponent you are up against. alex can do it, but its tough as a one off

FS's interview - says Alex deserved to win 1st set and was playing better.

A chance missed for Boggo, especially having been 4-0 up in the tiebreak and having had plenty of break points, but it was a decent performance by him to push Santoro close, and on another day might just have had enough to beat him.

Boggo seems to have had a decent start to the season, but the wins just haven't been in line with the performances - 3/4 times he seems to have played well but lost a close match, which surely must turn around at some point.

have to say looks like FS served well, his % of 1st in here was much higher then 1st rd, and as i said before he didn't hit any aces yesterday but came up with 11 today.

so Alex will take a few training weeks now, hopefully get a kind draw at jersey and he can pick up some more ranking points.

i am sure at the start of the indoor season Alex would have been hoping for more points than he has got so far, but the season has been very strong with tough fields, and at 2 of the events the courts have been too quick for him. he likes fast courts but super fast and its too easy for the big server

the only players Fab has lost to this year have been: rafa, simon, roddick and benneteau. not bad really.

hopefully once alex gets over the disappointment of missing those chances i am sure he can take some +ives from this.
