Week 8 - Challenger (€30,000+H) - Wolfsburg, Germany - Doubles

I think this deserves a separate thread with four Brits in draw.

Look who has turned up here
Jamie D and Ken Supski
Richard has decided to give it a miss

Bogdanovic/Olejniczak (POL) vs Brown (JAM)/Colangelo (ITA)
Jamie D/Jonny M vs Gajjar( IND)/Raja (IND)
(4)Skupski/Rettenmaier (USA) vs Galvano(ITA)/Matsukevich(RUS) winner could meeet Jamie/Jonny in next round.

Doubles Draw

edit
I cant count!

So the Battistone boys aren't joined at the hip à la Bryan! wink  Wonder whether Brian will be wielding that lethal, double-handled weapon he calls a racket?!! disbelief

Either way, it doesn't really matter:  he & Mankad, the second seeds, lost 4 & 4 to Bozo & Jenkins! wink

More to the point, Jamie D & Jonny M beat Gajjar & Raja 3 & 2. smile

Nice win Jamie D and Jonny

Boggo/Ole... play their Rd 1 match not before 4.30 GMT

It will be about 7.30 GMT before Skupski/Rett.... get on court for their Rd 1 match.

( Boggos next singles opponent from Duclos vs Dustov will be decided 1st match starting 11.00 GMT )

No luck for Boggo in the doubles, though he & Olejniczak came quite close to beating Brown & Colangelo (Brown having a good day, having also dumped out the fourth seed in the singles!):  6-4 1-6 [4-10]. cry  Skups & Rettenmaier, on the other hand, sailed through to the QF by 4 & 0. smile  Only trouble is, they face Jamie D & Jonny there...! disbelief bleh.gif

Don't know who to support no Marray and Delgado are both British, but i know Skupski has better potential in his career

well dont support anyone, just wait for the winner then go with it.

shame boggo lost, but singles is the main aim here, so lets hope he can build on it.

Yeah, they did, 7-6(?) 6-4, but this news page for today from the Wolfsburg site is confusing, to say the least:  the scoreboard showing Jamie & Jonny first & then the result below Rettenmaier's & Skups's names makes it appear as though J & J won, but the caption below the picture on the right (quite a nice one, methinks! smile   Rettenmaier's on the left.) says that R & S won.  The heading, for the record, means "Winners look like this".

*  The conquerors of the second seeds, Bozo & Jenkins, in the SF.  Fingers crossed...

Finally confirmed in the results section of the site:  7-6(2) 6-4.  Their SF will be the final match on centre tomorrow, following a singles QF which kicks off at 17.30 GMT.

I would think that their opponents would withdraw seeing as Bozo retired from his singles match yesterday.

Anyway the 3/4 Brit clash is available on the TennisLive.tv site but it just won't buffer for me (others that I have tried are fine).

I have the same problem - if by "won't buffer" you mean you can't get a picture - but the match is still listed as the last one on the centre court for live transmission on the Tennis Live TV page of the site. confuse
