Fair enough then, knowing Josh, I wouldn't put it past him obviously forgetting how serious these play offs are. I presume all the LTA staff are courtside as I left a message with the coaching department last Thursday and still heard nothing. Disgusting communication as usual.

From British Tennis magazine a couple of years ago (he has since been a hitting partner - the worst of both worlds - for the Croatia tie and made the thankless trip to Buenos Aires, if I remember right):
In the Davis Cup, Bloomfield has never had a chance to prove himself. To say he's disappointed about that is an understatement.
"I think I'm the only player in the British top 15 to have never been picked, even just as a squad member or a hitting partner," he says, looking downcast.
"There was one time when I had a good chance of being in the team. I got a pretty lame excuse from [the then captain] Jeremy Bates and it hurts me a bit. He said I was quite a shy person and he wasn't sure how I'd be in a team situation. If you don't get picked, at least the reason could be a better excuse than that."
If JB really said that, it's inexcusable - even if it were true, if you play a singles rubber, you're out there on your own so who cares whether you fit some narrow definition of a 'team player' as long as you get the job done.
