Ouch!

Can only think there is an injury, or some other special circumstance, as Bakayov doesn't seem anything special.

Well, Georgi was born in Bulgaria, so that probably explains it. Terrible result for Matt though. doh

Having surprised me round after round in a tournament last year, the Wardinator's surprising me almost every week in 2009 so far - I thought he'd struggle to win this one, but it looks like it was easy! smile.gif

Illingworth's conqueror took out the 2nd seed in straight sets today btw.

Alex & the splendidly named Romanian, Victor-Mugurel Anagvastopol ( disbelief ), were less lucky in the doubles QF.  They came close to overcoming the fourth seeds, but not quite close enough, losing 4-6 6-2 [6-10]. cry

Fantastic - does at least look that he wont dissapear completely when those points come off in May

Seeds are having a real struggle in this event as well...only the 4th and 8th remain (Meaning no seeds in Ward's half)
