Good from Josh but you kinda expect him to do well at this level with being just inside the top 200. I wish he concentrated more on challengers in order to progress up the rankings.
Thing is there arent any challengers Josh can play at the moment, and with the way the ranking works its better to go to a futures than try and qualify for a challenger. Then the Dc means he wil miss the ones he had a chnace of getting into! i am sur he will start playing some more soon.
Disappointing for the other 2 tho. its not be a great start to the year for the men has it.

The first two QFs have now finished and there's a real Brit-basher look to the bottom half semi, with our old friend Stéphane Robert due to play another old friend Martin Fischer!

Interesting: the tournament site, which is where I checked first, is showing the result of the Robert/Fischer SF only, while the ITF site has the Goody/Marti result as well!
P.S. Almost forgot: well done, Josh, on reaching the final. All you need to do now is justify your seeding & take the title away from the serial Brit-basher! No pressure, then...
Good win for Goodall and another strong week for him at futures level - it seems that it is finally starting to happen for him this season and a title here would be a good way to cap it off.
One thing I had somehow failed to notice before about Stéphane Robert is that not only does he have an 11-match ongoing winning streak against Brits, he also managed a 15-match completed Brit-bashing streak between 2001 and 2006.
His overall record against Brits, then, is 26-1, with Boggo's comprehensive 3 & 2 victory against him in the 2006 Wrexham Challenger Final the only time a Brit has beaten him.
