RE: Week 6 - Futures F1 (15k) - Zagreb, Croatia

Firstly coursework is spelt as one word, not two.

I couldn't care less because about what you or others think a) my posts on here are not being graded b) I am guessing that no-one from here is ever going to conduct a job interview with me c) because it doesn't actually matter because it is an online forum where people are here to post their opinions about the sport they love not just post posts with perfect grammar. My spelling and grammar is not perfect, granted, but I can tell you it is better than most of my friends/age group.

Also, I already work part time and hope to have another job in the near future. I reckon that there are more important characteristics/skills a employer looks for other in their employees other than correct spelling and I certainly don't think they would appreciate a know-it-all like you.

From your posts I gather you are/were a professional translator and you are obviously very skilled in this area but the constant grammar attacks get on mine and I'm sure a lot of other users nerves and it doesn't exactly endear you to us.

mmm very interesting debate,i personally don't think there is anything wrong with wolf's spelling, if this was a assignment or CV im sure it would have been proof read many times. Try being flunet in 6 languages and then trying not to make mistakes in your wirtten english.

On a tennis forum the facts presented are far more important than the actual presentation.

Can we get back on topic now?

Life is all about agreeing and disagreeing. Wolf and I disagree on various things. I like this post and agree.

Perhaps the 'spelling police' is meant to be tongue in cheek but it can be irritating being corrected all the time.

As for work...I have been hiring technical based people for years now and I can tell you the best technician I ever worked with cannot spell even the most basic of words. I have hired ex-joiners and made them into design technicians and they make 'woefull spellers' but great designers.

In all cases though their CVs would have been perfect...proof read no doubt or spell checked as they typed !!!

I do think though Count Zero could try a bit harder wink.gif

Anyway Mad back on topic....dire results in Futures so far this week...hope Andy does himself proud.
