Niall Angus & Joshua Jones in qualifying draw. Hopefully Rice scraped into main draw to join Matt Illingworth.

Dr No was just above the no. 2 Q seed on the Alt list and the no. 1 Q seed wasn't on the Alt list at all, so David should have just made it.

A candidate for name of the week in qualifying here:

Tarek Ahmed Abdel Wahab Enany el Khateeb

The Brits seem to be specialising in getting draws that stink at the moment, and here's another one:

L32: Matthew Illingworth WR 704 v David Rice WR 902

... and guess what, the winner will probably face the no. 1 seed in R2! doh

Dr No handed out quite a thrashing to his higher-ranked fellow Brit:

L32: David Rice WR 902 beat Matthew Illingworth WR 704 by 1 & 3 biggrinbleh

L16: David Rice WR 902 v Teodor-Dacian Craciun (ROU) WR 360 (CH 218 Mar 2007)

The runner-up in last week's Egyptian Future, Craciun last played a Brit in 2007, losing to Josh Goodall in 3 sets. He has also beaten Morgan Phillips and been bagelled by Miles MacLagan in the past.
